Koshi Chimes feature four melodic tunings inspired by the four alchemical elements: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water (Terra, Aria, Ignis, Aqua). Each chime is handcrafted to create warm, soothing resonance and rich overtones that gently unfold through space.

The Terra (Earth) tuning represents practicality, harmony, and connection to the senses. Its cool and dry energy brings a calm, grounded presence to your soundscape, enhancing focus and stability. Terra creates a sense of rootedness while performing alchemical sonic magic on the spirit.

Construction

Koshi Chimes are made from a bamboo resonating tube with eight precisely tuned metal tines mounted inside and attached to a small metal base. Developed by Kabir, inventor of the original Shanti Chime, they are known for their refined craftsmanship and balanced tone.

Care & Use

Koshi Chimes may be kept outdoors, but like all wooden instruments, they benefit from regular treatment with a protective oil such as colorless Tung or Teak oil. It is recommended to keep them sheltered from rain. If mold develops, it can be removed using a small amount of diluted bleach.
