Koshi K-IGNIS-AMZ – Koshi Ignis Chime

Product Description

Koshi Chimes feature four melodic tunings inspired by the four alchemical elements: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water (Terra, Aria, Ignis, Aqua). Each chime is carefully handcrafted to create warm, soothing resonance and rich overtones that gently move through space.

The Ignis (Fire) tuning embodies transformation, vitality, and creative energy. Its bright, lively tones shimmer with warmth and motion, making it especially effective for energizing sound baths, ritual work, and expressive sonic journeys. When played, the chime produces a flowing cascade of harmonics that feel both uplifting and grounding.

Koshi Chimes are widely used by sound healers and musicians alongside gongs, singing bowls, crystal bowls, and other overtone-rich instruments.

Tuning

Ignis (Fire) Scale:
G B D G B D G A

Construction

Each Koshi Chime is made from a bamboo resonating tube with eight precisely tuned metal tines mounted inside and attached to a small metal base. They were developed by Kabir, inventor of the original Shanti Chime, and are known for their exceptional craftsmanship and tonal balance.

Care & Use

Koshi Chimes may be kept outdoors, but like all wooden instruments, they benefit from regular treatment with a protective oil such as colorless Tung or Teak oil. It is recommended to keep them sheltered from rain. If mold develops, it can be cleaned using a small amount of diluted bleach.
