Koshi Chimes feature four melodic tunings inspired by the four alchemical elements: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water (Terra, Aria, Ignis, Aqua). Each chime is handcrafted to create warm, soothing resonance and rich overtones that gently unfold through space.

The Aqua (Water) tuning represents deep feeling, emotions, and intuition. Its cool, fluid energy makes it the deepest-sounding of all Koshi element chimes. When played, Aqua rolls smoothly and continuously, awakening imagination and inner awareness while inviting a sense of calm and emotional flow.

The chime produces layered harmonics that feel immersive and nurturing, making it an ideal companion for sound baths, meditative journeys, and intuitive healing work.

Construction

Koshi Chimes are made from a bamboo resonating tube with eight precisely tuned metal tines mounted inside and attached to a small metal base. Developed by Kabir, inventor of the original Shanti Chime, they are known for their refined craftsmanship and balanced tone.

Care & Use

Koshi Chimes may be kept outdoors, but like all wooden instruments, they benefit from regular treatment with a protective oil such as colorless Tung or Teak oil. It is recommended to keep them sheltered from rain. If mold develops, it can be removed using a small amount of diluted bleach.
