DRAGONFLY MTM MIKE TAMBURO MEDIUM GONG MALLET

MT Medium Gong Mallet by Mike Tamburo
MT Medium Gong Mallet by Mike Tamburo
Product Description
The MT Medium Gong Mallet is a versatile, mid-weight mallet in Mike Tamburo’s signature series, ideal for close-range playing and dynamic sound exploration. It features a weighted wooden ball core wrapped in thick layers of felt, foam, and soft Sherpa fleece—delivering a warm, clear tone with excellent responsiveness.
The mallet is mounted on a slim, tapered maple handle, measuring approximately 11/16” in diameter at the base and ½” at the top. This design offers both agility and precision, making it especially well-suited for drone work, tonal layering, and fast rhythmic strokes.
“This mallet is fantastic for working close to the gong. Ideal for drone work and playing at faster tempos. Great for exploring different tonal clusters and layers, by using different levels of mallet force, tempo and location on the instrument.”
