The Vic Firth Thom Hannum "Beast" Marching Snare Drumstick produces a huge sound without feeling cumbersome. It works great at all dynamics and it is very easy to control the stick. The higher shoulder increases the weight slightly and makes the stick more durable for rim shots. The special taper increases the response and flex in ways that have not been previously possible in existing short-tapered sticks.
Thom Hannum worked with Vic Firth to create the STH4 for use with the Carolina Crown's 2018 production of "Beast" at DCI.
