The Mapex 0168-1600L is an 16" bass drum hoop made from aluminum with a black powder finish. Mapex builds it for Quantum bass drums, so it fits drummers replacing a damaged hoop or adding a indestructible hoop to a bob bass drum.
The hoop holds the bass drum head in place under tension from the claws and rods. Aluminum construction keeps the hoop light on the drum.
