The Sabian AAX X-Plosion Crash Cymbal is a cymbal that is strong yet thin, so it responds well to a soft touch without the awkward clang that thicker cymbals tend to deliver. It has a feature called Auto-Focus Response, which filters out overtones that don't jibe with what you're going for, be it a softer touch or a brutal smash. It has a bright and loud crash sound, and the bell cuts through as well. It has very light hammering, is lathed with lines moderately close together, and has an unhammered, unlathed bell.
