Highlights from the 2024 TCU Percussion Festival: A Weekend to Remember

This past weekend marked a special event for percussion enthusiasts and young musicians alike, as Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth, Texas, played host to the much-anticipated TCU Percussion Festival. Dallas Percussion was privileged to be an integral part of this event, which took place on April 5th and 6th, 2024, under the expert guidance of Dr. Brian West.

The festival showcased an impressive lineup, featuring performances by 50 middle and high school ensembles. These groups came from all over Texas, including the North, Central, and South regions, and even a school from Louisiana, making the event a diverse and rich cultural gathering. The festival wasn't just about performances; it offered clinics, a solo contest, and showcased talents such as the TCU Percussion Ensemble, Escape Ten, and renowned artists like Mark Ford, Dave Hall, Jeff Hodge, Ben Maughmer, Joey Carter, Brian Youngblood, Cameron Carbone, Emily Lemmerman, Denton Hunker, among others.

Dallas Percussion had the opportunity to set up a booth at the festival, where we offered a variety of percussion instruments and accessories, including drumsticks, keyboard mallets, timpani mallets, practice pads, drum keys, snareweights, and stick tape. It was a fantastic chance not only to showcase our products but also to engage with the community, meet new friends, and strengthen existing relationships.

The TCU Percussion Festival was more than just a series of performances and clinics; it was a communal gathering that brought together individuals who share a passion for percussion. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation, and it was clear that everyone who attended felt privileged to be part of such an incredible event. We left the festival feeling inspired and already looking forward to next year's festival.

For those who missed out or want to relive the moments, photos from the festival are available. Should you require more information about the festival or our products, please don't hesitate to reach out.

We extend our deepest thanks to all the organizers, participants, and attendees who made the TCU Percussion Festival a memorable experience. Here's to continued growth, friendship, and music!

Warm regards,

Robert
