About Russ Miller

Russ Miller has been one of the most internationally recognizable names in drumming for the past three decades. As a renowned recording artist, Russ has played on over 500 albums, selling more than 32 million copies worldwide. His movie credits span over 150 films, which have collectively earned more than a billion dollars at the box office.

Russ's versatility has led him to work with a remarkable list of over 60 legendary artists, including Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Tina Turner, Bobby Caldwell, Andrea Bocelli, Nelly Furtado, The Psychedelic Furs, Hilary Duff, Steve Perry, and Michael Bublé. As a star of the Los Angeles studio scene, he has topped numerous Readers Polls globally, gaining recognition for his contributions to studio drumming and popular music. He has also been a staple on TV "house bands" like American Idol.

As an “International Platinum” endorsing artist, Russ represents brands such as Mapex Drums, Zildjian, Remo, Vic Firth, DW racks and hardware, Zoom AV products, Porter & Davies, Hercules stands, May E/A Mics, Prologix, SKB cases, Arrel Audio Electronics, Puresound Snares, Cympad, Switchkick, and Audio Technica. He holds guest professorships at the Shanghai and Beijing Conservatories of Music and has authored five award-winning books and published six instructional videos.

In addition to his extensive recording and touring work, Russ has created over 80 products for 11 different musical instrument manufacturers. His signature instruments are showcased in the Percussive Arts Society International Museum. Leading his own band on global tours, Russ has released six solo albums, spending a collective 23 weeks on the HOT100 charts. His single with Giovanni Hidalgo, “Things We Said Today,” peaked at #32 on the TOP40 Radio Charts, and his hit “Rhythm World” from the album Arrival climbed the TOP40 as well.
